Im going to be putting $2k down cash

like i said in the message i have full coverage on mine. I have a cruse and not sport bike, so its a significant different in price with insurance, but i bought both brand new.

Theres different classes. My previous one was a 2005 suzuki boulevard c50 (800cc) cruser and that was about 700 a year ful coverage through rider insurance.

Now i got a 2007 victory kingpin 1632cc and that was like 800 a year through rider. I switched to allstate and now its like 500 a year full coverage.

and i got really great credit somehow also. Don't ask me how .. lol

rider has really cheap insurance im paying like 165 a year just liability on a 97 cbr 600 but my 99 was around the same price. you need a clean record though

ar0ck 05-05-2008 11:07 PM

F'n Rider gave me a quote of $1,500 with liability only on the 08'. I went with Progressive, only $550 a year.

how ur record?

My cousin picked up a bike at Be A Biker in Cherry Hill. www.Beabiker.com
I've never been there but it looks like they have a decent inventory.

Look into an SV650, pretty quick and handles similar to a sport bike but its in the cruiser class so its cheap on insurance. I think i pay $250 a year for full coverage. 2002 SV650

yea i went over there and checked them out, but they didnt really have anything im looking for right now. I wanna stay with the 600 in either suzuki or honda. Do i HAVE to have full coverage if i finance? looks like arock has liabilty while financing. Basically a want to finance to get a newer bike but dont wanna pay for full coverage insurance

oh one ls1 SS 05-10-2008 11:56 AM

someone already mentioned it but check out rider http://ridewithrider.com/ i had them with my other bike and i paid 980 a year for full coverage on a 06 R6. only catch is that you cant have more then 1 accident and 2 tickets in the past 3 years. you dont need full coverage from what i heard, all you need if liability and collision or liability and compensation.

holy F batman!! did you contact any other insurance companies? like foremost, rider, or state farm?

is it really worth building up your credit to pay 5k/year for insurance?? thats insane! i was going to buy new but they wanted 2500-3k/year and i said f that im going with liability. i only paid 1k for my bike too so that helps. other idea is to save up and/or get a personal loan for "home improvements" and buy the bike that way

yea man geico, allstate, progressive, rider. for full coverage they were 5k+ a year, its crazy. Im just gonna buy a newer bike from a private seller with cash and just get liabilty. Ill have to build credit another way, cuz full coverage is a rip off.

bcgetfresh 05-19-2008 05:51 PM

well i ended up getting an 02 gsxr750 for a GREAT price. ill get pics up pretty soon.
