Hello from Disney World!

Well finally got a chance to just chill and relax so decided to pop online for a little bit. My lady and I have been having a blast and I'm surprised how nice this place was. I was kinda "meh" about going to Disney World for the honeymoon but we are staying at the top resort, eating awesome meals, and being treated like gold from everyone. The rides have been awesome except for a couple lame ones but overall this place is great.

I can tell you one thing. Gina and I don't plan on having a kid anytime soon after seeing some of the brats we have encountered so far. Not overly crazy but crying for no reason just makes me want to step on a kids head.

We have completed ALL the parks and tomorrow is a day of relaxation at the hotel with massages scheduled for 6PM.

Pics to come and tomorrow I'm taking out a little two seater boat on the lake behind the resort. I don't wanna come home but I miss my cars and friends.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

We are staying at the Grand Floridian. We got a great deal through AAA and got a room with the Magic Kingdom view. My wife and I rarely go nuts with money (except for the cars) so this was just an all out splurge for us.

Just found out we will be in a parade at the Animal Kingdom lol. I better practice my wave I guess. Again, I'm really shocked I am enjoying myself this much.

Make sure you hit Pleasure Island, too!

I will be there at the end of the month for 4 days

Awesome! The Grand Floridian is really nice!

Be glad you are going to Animal Kingdom in May and not in July.

disney world, while it may seem lame, is probably one of the nicest vacations you can take. thats the benefit of going someplace like that, they can afford to buy the best stuff and hire the best staff.

glad you're having a great time Brian!

I love disney I would go every year if I can. Have a great time!!

Disney World is a lot of fun with the kids. Its an absolute BLAST without the kids.

My wife and I went two years in a row, the first time with 2 kids, the second time with only 1, with the youngest staying with the Grandparents. I can tell you we had a lot more fun with only 1 child, because we didn't have to compromise on anything.

Adults who want to enjoy Disney World should find a way to ditch the kids for 3+ days and just enjoy what you can accomplish (lazily!) in the time you have. Don't be concerned with all the rides and all the lines - do whatever strikes your fancy and enjoy the atmosphere of the place. If you hit the parks later, including a late night at Pleasure Island, you can usually avoid the families who arrive first thing in the morning (since the kids are so excited, they wake up real early).

Hmm, that was long winded. Anyway, have fun!

All the Disney hotels are great. You can't have a bad time there. Unless your standing in line for 3 hours to get on a ride. I spent a year working there and had a blast. of course I spent more time playing then working. hehehe.

Just about every hotel I've briefly seen or visited looks really nice. From the parks to the hotels, it's all just well thought out, well designed and speaks of quality.

Our longest wait time for a ride has been 20 min with most only being 5-10 min wait. It's been great.

Tower of Terror is my favorite ride so far.

My wife and I are taking out a SeaRaycer today (little two seat boat). Should be fun.

Thats so cool you got to go to Florida. Glad it was a good time. I swear that when I enter any of the theme parks and its a sunny morning out, nothing brings a smile to my face more than that. Just being in Florida weather is enough for me.

Do people here still like Epcot? I used to like Magic Kingdom when I was younger, but I really like Epcot the best nowadays. I like the countries a lot like the Norway ride and Mexican Ride and Figment and Test Track. They have a cool Dinosaur ride at the Animal Kingdom thats pretty violent in motion.

BlackBirdWS6, just curious, if you went to Epcot, was the portion of the park where there is the science section with power and energy still closed? It was last summer. Also, did they open anything new at any of the parks you went to?

Epcot was a really cool park. My wife and I got wasted trying every beer from the different countries (missed Morocco). The restaurants are great (we ate at Tutto Italia in Italy and Chefs de France in France). They had the energy stuff open and it was pretty cool to check out.

+1...sweet emotion loud in my head while upside down in the complete dark, awesome
but bri, make sure you check out epcot at night, def. the best park at night by far, then hit up pleasure island haha

Disney rocks! Did you ride that Alien Invasion thing at the Magic Kingdom? Thats a good one. Universal is my favorite though, especially in October when they do the Halloween Horror Nights.

I did hit up epcot and night and it was pretty solid. Pleasure Island wasn't what I expected. They seem to have allowed younger people in with an adult so it's kinda awkward.

SteveR: I did ride the alien invasion ride if thats the one with Buzz Lightyear and your shoot the stuff from inside the car.

Again had a great time and I come back to rainy weather...cmon NJ lol.

Theres a different one in Magic Kingdom in Tomorrow Land where you strap yourself into this seat and your in a lab or something and this alien thing gets loose and tries to eat you.
