about 3/4 down the page...fiberglass headliner. |
I got mine from Year One....the fit is only about an 8 of 10 but the quality of the material and board itself is very good. If you have t-tops you may see some gaps where the actual tops go but nothing major. Hardtop it shouldn't make a difference.

i got the abs headliner, sail panel and sunvisor kit from hawks and even thought I have yet to install it, the quality of materials used looks very good. I'll let you know how the fit is when I install them

Back in the day I got my headliner through Hawks, and I thought it was a quality piece.

i bought mine from classic industries, its nice, but as other have said there sometimes are issues with the cutouts not being exactly where they should be. I just really dont like the fact that, on my t-top car, the center front of the headlines is not supported by anything! its just there, no clips nothing. It doesn't move around when you drive, but if you push it it does move about 3/8 inch. They really should have put the clips on it.

Mine is up, but like the post above, I can move it up and down by pushing on it. It's not flush with the t-top bar or upper part of the windshield. |
If you had the option to do it over, would you have a shop recover your old headliner?

go with fiberglass

Definately go with ABS, not fiberglass for the headliner. You need some flex installing and eventually removing the headliner. Plus the fit is usually a little off, so enlarging the holes is typical, and much easier with ABS. |

The stock thirdgen headliner boards are fiberglass, not cardboard. I recovered a hardtop myself and it worked out pretty well. I still have a t-top headliner board sitting in my garage and a roll of headliner material waiting to be put on it. You usually do have to do some spot fiberglass repair, but that's not difficult at all.

Just got my hawks kit (headliner, sail panel, sun visor)...its alright i guess...
looks like i will have to make some holes for my overhead console, as this one is only setup for a dome light. everything else seems pretty sweet... |
