Interesting question
For a buddy of mine at work.
Car is a BMW 3 series. It has a small oil leak, and when you pull the dipstick out the idle gets about 25-50 RPM higher. When you put it back the idle drops back down. What do you guys think? Maybe a pressurized crankcase due to a clogged PCV system? |
Could be PCV... or maybe a bad/cracked ring maybe?

By oil leak do you mean consumption? Could be a bad intake manifold gasket causing an internal vac leak and pulling oil from the galley right into the intake runners.

It's defiantly something to do with the pressure Ive had problems with this before and it was either having to much ventilation or not enough.
