Some pics of my car at JS Performance!

I went up Sunday for the EPFBA Meet. I didn't get a chance to socialize because I was busy putting my interior in the firebird. The only pieces in the car were the Dash, passenger compartment carpet, door panels, drivers seat and center console(with shifter).

Here are some pic's I took with my cell.

More pics coming soon when i get them on the computer!

Edit # 1 The blur on the engine bay is my thumb, I was holding my hood up and its hard to take a picture with a ENV with one hand.

All right!

WayFast84 05-27-2008 07:51 PM

More pics!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...t84/skinny.jpg

Skinnies up front(yeah those are DR's up front!!)

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...4/backseat.jpg

Got the back seat in! I couldn't bolt the drivers side Butt cushion to the bracket..I need some pliers to get the ring back into its normal location.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...eriorpiece.jpg

It took me 30 Minutes to figure out where that piece went!! It went under the hatch, and thats why I couldn't figure it out!

All In all, I need to get a headliner and the plastic screws to put the interior completely together, But I think I'm going to wait till I can get some MINT plastics and Have Paul at RPM paint them and make it look real nice!

I also cant beleive how much room their is in the engine compartment now!

!heat and !power steering make the compartment so much cleaner looking!! When I get the car back, I need to get the rust off of my heads and the alternator spinner thingy, and polish my intake. If anyone knows what stuff i should use let me know!!

Tru2Chevy 05-27-2008 08:26 PM

Looks good Matt. I wouldn't worry about polishing anything else on your motor, just clean it up by hand and enjoy the dam car.

Mike 05-27-2008 08:39 PM

yeah, when you get it back dont mess with the rust........just clean it, dry it and leave it be

looks a TON better then when i delivered it.......

I don't want to polish the manifold, I just want it to look cleaner, It looks a little oxidized..

Yeah, its yours isn't it? whats the story with the car? I was checking it out, and it looked like it had "part" of a roll bar, and that the door bars were missing. Its kind of weird, how close, Metuchen and Edison are together and our cars are sitting right next to each other. In PA

The oxidation will clean up real nice with a wire wheel, then hit it with some clear and it will stay clean for a good long time, i need to break down and do mine too. I like the look of bare cast aluminum.8-)

Kojak 05-28-2008 10:34 AM

Very nice

Untamed 05-28-2008 10:59 AM

Well done Matt. You've come a long way in the last year or so.

I still think you need a white exterior with black accents, power bulge hood with the 15th anniv bird and stripes, to match the white interior.

You're getting there. Keep going!

HardcoreZ28 05-28-2008 01:06 PM

Matt....car looks like it's coming out great man. A little persistence has paid off in big dividens....congrats. If you need those interior pieces painted just let me know.

Its a summit grind cam. Ill get the specs, I basically duplicated a combo that went 12.1@110 the only difference was he had more compresion and some port work to the heads, he was at 3700+ race weight, and he also had 4.10's. He stated that 3.42's or at max 3.73's would be best for the combo so, when 12 bolt times come ill probably get 3.42's. I also have 3500 rpm converter verses his 3000. Plus the nitrous, so hope fully when Its at its full potential in a few years It will be a fun car
