probably pinched it in a way that it cant slide back in easily. It happened to me so I just bought the Lokar one that sits tight against the block. Not sure if shorties would allow it to fit.

i got a new one from gm and it slid right in? deff check the end and the hole in the block for anything unusual.

Is it not sliding into the block or it the tubing hitting the headers so that you can't aline the tube with the hole in the block?
