I just purchased the Spohn Tubular Pre-Load Adjustable Shock Tower Brace.

Let me just tell u that my suspension upgrades were by far the best investment I have ever made for my car. Night and day differance. Spohn makes some of the best products IMO. Im not sure if the adj one was necessary, but im sure you’ll like it. Also talk to HardcoreZ28 for all you future spohn orders. Just got some RCA's at a great price!

Way to go! Spelling FTL. And I just threw on my UMI one this morning and to tell you the truth doesn't feel much different. :scratch:

I have had an UMI non adjustable on for about a year now. I think the gains are most noticeable under hard cornering. Kind of heavy though with an extra 15 lbs on the front end.

It really depends on your current suspension mods. If u already have SFC's then u wont feel much of a difference. A STB was my first suspension mod and it was like night and day. Of course had warped rotors upfront at the time and the shaking of the wheel under breaking was greatly reduced.

I had one on my Z and I didn't feel anything, it's one of those "I have one of those too" mods IMO. Then again I did have SFC's.

STB's are pretty much all the same. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. I picked up a used RK Sport & painted it with a rattle can. Its held up for nearly 3 years now.

yeah i bought the pre-adjustable one because its pretty nifty how you can alter your wheel alignment just by extending/shortening the bar.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I would think that using a bar like that to alter your wheel alignment on a whim would not exactly be the best thing for the overall rigidity of the car....remember, the part of the suspension that you would be moving if you used the bar to alter your alignment is very firmly bolted to the unibody of your vehicle. Anything done to stress the unibody is considered bad.

Well then using that logic you shouldn't add the strut tower bar at all, because it won't allow the unibody to flex and therefore puts it in more stress. Am I right there?

No difference in handling with mine but it did come in handy to rest my hand on while leaning over to check my oil..

i found mine really made a difference at higher speeds because before i installed in i felt like the front of my car was fluttering and was somewhat unstable but after i installed the hotchkis bar it was much more solid

I have the LG motorsports 3 point STB. Works well but is a major PITA to install/remove!

Allot of people claim the 3 point (hard mounts to the cowl) has resulted in broken windshield. I've had mine of for 10+ years and 50,000 miles with no problem.

It's the one on the top of the 3 shown.

No.....keeping the unibody from flexing is a good thing. That's why subframe connectors are often recommended as the first modification that anyone should make to 3rd and 4th gens.
