wheel specs?
im looking at getting a set of draglites for my 98 z28. but im not sure what specs i need to look for. i know i want a 15x10 for the rear but not sure on the backspacing and bolt pattern, and what is a good size for the front? will i also need spacers with these rims?

bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75 (4 3/4)
guys with 15x10s on 4th gens usually use a 7.5'' backspace if your looking for somthing just to run on the track and want skinnies in the front, a 15x3.5 with a 1.75 back space is good i run a 5/16'' spacer in the front and didnt have to grind the front brakes at all, i run 5/16'' spacers in the rear with a 15x8 wheel and still had to grind the calipers down quite a bit. you will need the shank style lugnuts with any weld wheels, and it is recomended to get extended wheel studs |

that site has a ton of good info on drag racing wheels and pictures of the calipers being ground down |
I believe that a 15x10 wheel with 7.5" backspacing would have the wheel sticking about an inch. I dont know if the rear wheelbase is different between the V6 and the Z28 (I know the Z28 has posi and I dont) but I have the stock 16x7 salad shooters and i only have another inch and a half until I hit the fender. Does posi have a slightly shorter wheelbase to accomodate wider wheel setups?

no, but the weld is a different offset than the oem wheel, so it needs a different backspace
