K...so i was at work...

and i was talking about mouth wash and how i do it after i brush my teeth... and the person that overheard the conversation was almost offended because she thought mouth wash after brushing your teeth is ineffectual... so is there really a difference between before and after? which do you prefer?

Knipps 08-23-2008 10:42 PM

After for me

Anti_Rice_Guy 08-23-2008 10:59 PM

Yeah, after

DaSkinnyGuy 08-23-2008 11:17 PM

that would be like waxing your car before you clean it with a brush which would be totaly dumb.

mouth wash after i brush thats when i have mouth wash avaible.

brush then flush, lol

BigAls87Z28 08-23-2008 11:41 PM

Correct way would be to floss, brush, then rinse.
Floss gets between the teeth, brush takes the crap off the teeth as well as massage the gums, and then you rinse after to kill whatever is left, as well as clean out your tounge and cheeks from you brushing your teeth.

it says "after" on the back of the bottle. The stuff one would use before brushing teeth would say "pre-brush rinse".

i brush, floss, then rinse usually, except on this underway, because i ran out of floss (one of the guys in my berthing nut tapped me, so i used the dental floss to sew his curtains to his mattress, trapping him in his rack. lol), and ship store is out. so i just brush really well right now.

Plus, the mouthwash that I use has floride in it, so it'd be pretty dumb to rinse and then brush the floride off my teeth.

I guess it also depends on what kind of Mouthwash. I use a Listerine teeth whitening mouth wash and I am supposed to use it before brushing according to the directions on the back of the bottle.. Most others are after I guess.
