chrysler 300 help.
so we got an 05 chrysler 300, got it with a broken radio(cd player didnt read cds and the gps selecter knob sucked.) now we brought it to the dealer we got it from, they replaced the radio and a week later the cd played stopped reading cds....WTF!
anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? |
Crappy radios, swear to god.
What is it doing, not playing music CDs or is the screen reading "Disc Error"? If the screen is reading "Disc Error" it may need an update disc for the GPS. They make those update discs yearly, and they generally last a couple years. We've seen alot of 2005s coming in and needing them. The discs are around two hundered bucks and aren't covered under the warranty. If it is regular CDs that it's not playing, it's probably a six disc changer and the internal transport system is messed up. Happens alot. |
well, i havent seen the new problem, mom just told me about it. the old problem was the disc read crap. i will take a look tonight tho.

If you hear clicking coming from the radio, it's obviously screwed. But if you can hear music, but it won't load the NAV, it's a disc issue. Take a look and get back, I'm at work tonight and would gladly help.

my mom said she thinks it only doesnt play homemade cds...and it says disc read error....but we have the new update cd....
|
Ok. It will be very limited on home made CDs.

I'd try to get it replaced by the dealership again. if it still doesnt work, try burning CD's onto different blank disks.
