98-2002 firebird/trans am/firehawk guys and gals

check this out!! i saw this on a car and had to ask the guy where he got it...it would look cool with maybe a coat of night shade or just leave it clear...its as close to having your cake and eating it too as youll get in NJ

procamaroz28 08-28-2008 08:35 PM

eh whats the point i like how its actually flush wit the car but if i would spend money i would want the painted one wit the screamin chicken lol to match the car... f' the front plate

91DropTop 08-28-2008 08:38 PM

it has the chicken on it so you can paint it if you want..im not the first owner of my car so i dont have the filler panel, seems like a good alternative to having a front plate(wich i hate) and having the panel

procamaroz28 08-28-2008 08:39 PM

tru.. why not get it but have it tinted or smoked that would look really good

I had one on the car after being bothered for no front plate. I did not have a front plate for the first year and a half then was bothered twice in a summer. I since have shattered it and gotten another gm one much better quality.

That plate cover costs $49.

An obstructed plate ticket is $35.

Might be worth the investment if you speed a lot - its an alternative ticket if you have a good driving record, and could have gotten popped for doing 15+mph over.

Are you sure it's not $54 like everything else?

sweetbmxrider 09-02-2008 03:05 PM

i think fines differ pending on the jurisdiction of the municipal court where the offense takes place.....different town, different price! :D

Mine was $35 on Route 202 just inside the NJ border from PA. I thought the cost of fines were all the same, but dunno. This was 2006.

In any case, if you are going to keep the plate on there, only cover it with something if you are looking for an alternative fine for another infraction. If you have tinted windows, don't bother with the plate cover for that reason. Personally, I don't like the look. Leave it bare or take the whole plate off and keep it handy if you get pulled over.

I recieved a ticket for no front plate in Somers Point. The cop gave me that instead of a 25 over speeding ticket. I was very grateful. No front plate tickets are $54 around here. A 25 over speeding ticket = ... well... MUCHO DINERO:lol:

The price has gone up to $54....it did used to be lower.
