tease....r
just some winter wheels im throwin together....haven't seen it before but i dig it!
http://photos-a.ak.facebook.com/phot...33016_2919.jpg this was with my cell phone and a very bright light was above the wheel. so the truest color would be on the right side of the wheel, the flat black. cleaned up alot of the curb rash too! im psyched to put them on!! :D oh and all rattle can!!! |
those look sweet!
yay spray paint. how many coats did you do? did you use primer?
thanks guys. between the two wheels i did, one can primer and one can paint. i sanded them down, cleaned the inside as best i could, and primed them with sandable primer. let them dry, then painted light coats till i liked the color and coverage. its tough getting inside the spokes but i managed. might go over the paint twice more lightly to ensure even coverage. i did the insides of the wheels too so it took alot of spray to cover them. all in all for winter beaters, i like em :-P
i picked up a set of winter rims tonite too. i was guna paint them but there in muuuuuch better shape then i could have imagined.... and i think i went over board for winter rims teeheee.
they look real nice tho, cant wait to see em on the car |
hahah yeah i know how hard it is to get in all the spokes. we painted my friends BBS's on his GLi. suchhhhhhh a pain.
i like!!
looks good, i always thought about doing black wheels on my SS, never did it though.
i did my denali wheels with rustoleum spray paint. no primer, just a few light coats with like 10 min between drying time. i cleaned them great, sanded and used prep-sol right before spraying them. so far they look great still, and i did them last december. several 400mile highway trips and the salt up here in the artic winter didnt phase them. |
 uber hot
They look good!

Throw some mud tires on them and go muddin'
thanks guys! i hope they hold up pretty decent, probably another mild winter so i should be fine. might throw drag radials on them in the spring. or mud tires!! haha go find me some sheeeeeeep!
those may even look better than the c6 rims on your car. lol jk..cant wait to see them

if you keep them on all the time i may be interested in your z06's... i like those....
Just my .02, but as much as I like black rims, on your green car they kinda fade into them, and dont stand out as they might on a different color car.
I think a rim with a polished lip might look better. |
if you looked at it in person, it might pull together better for you. with the tint, sail panel, and ttops being black, it goes pretty good. also all of the lenses are vhted so that helps pull it together. i dono i'm more into that **** you look than look at me look honestly. its just more me. haha. oh and i think i will be holding onto the z06's for now. if it changes, maybe trade for that gmmg? hahaha i'll let you know brendan. they are significantly lighter though....
heh its kool... i just love those zo6's i dont think im gona part with the gmmg tho haha... besides as soon as i move out my car is comming off the road so ill just deal with the common zr1's prob till then haha... the 10 spokes look good tho.. get a full picture when you put the fronts on...
 for sure, if i do sell the c8's, i'll hit you up first. i'll find a gmmg somewhere, they sound so ****in good!
