They have been understaffed for almost 4 months and are hiring basically any one. |
All Sears Auto centers are hiring, always hiring. We always look for better and better people. Right now its big, due to the fact that in 3 months, Black Friday will be upon us, and it gets ef'n nuts! The whole holiday season we ususaly are stocked with guys slinging tires.
|
What does it pay to start?
|
i love doing tires, so easy
|

That all depends on the kind of tires you do hah. |
Agreed. Pay is based on a commission. so the base rate is gunna be lower then min. wage at 5.75. Training pay is 9 an hour but no com.
Average per hour rate for Salesman is about 12-15 an hour Average rate of a tech 1 (tire, battery, oil) is 10-13. |

LEERROOOOYYYYYYY JHHHEEEEENNNNKKKKKIIINNNNNNSSSSSS...... I'm MORE than qualified for that. Tools provided or not ? Bring your own box ? Should I go there to apply or DUIT online ? |
Online apps, nothing writen down.
basic tools for tires and oil are provided, but if you have alternative set of tools to bring to work, that will help you. If you are hired in as a higher level tech (brakes, alignments, front end, etc) then yes, bring down ya fackin tool box, Jerky! |
Sweet. I gotta get into doing something. Never 'did' tires, but I've worn out enough of them that I have a better than basic understanding of what it takes (and it isn't rocket science, just don't jack up someone's nice rims).
Brakes are CAKE for me, been doing them since the early 90's.... Batteries....ha....done everything from 24V aircraft batteries to 12V fire alarm panel batteries. :) Lube/oil.....is a frog's rear end water tight ? I used to work at U-Haul and we'd do PM's on 3 trucks a day, plus any special repairs....belts/hoses/fluids/filters/brakes/body bolts (in the box bodies)/roll up door hardware/plugs/wires/diesels, etc. My hands have been all over. Even worked on 17T chassis crash trucks (supervised). Anyways...how long does it take to hear something back ?? |

Cool, Id say that with your tallents, a day or two unless thier HR person is brain dead. I would call within 24 hrs to the auto center manager about it if you dont hear anything from HR. The auto manager can pull it up on his computer and then call up HR to get you in for a culture meeting asap. |
