Yanks news

This just in:

Mussina wins the AL Gold Glove, and the Yanks cancel the options for Pavano (thank you Jesus), and Giambi. I like Giambi and I'm not sure this was the best idea seeing that he just had his best year with the Yanks, and there's a lot up in the air for next year regarding offense.

Giambi's option not getting picked up was discussed during the season. He is a hard worker and a locker room leader, but not the most consistant at the plate, and I think that is what the team has against him.

There are big rumors of the Yanks being in the CC circus and throwing around large by huge numbers. Not sure it is the greatest idea to put a guy who is an emotional roller coaster in the middle of the biggest media circus in sports. It may be like so many others and just turn into the countdown to meltdown. lol

Spend, Spend, and Spend baby!
CC, Texeria, and I'll have a side of Burnett please.

Here's hoping the yanks do the right thing. The only good outfielder on the team is Nady, Matusi is old and can't stay healthy. Melky is extremely disappointing. Abreu is a FA. There is one prospect I remember hearing about, Austin Jackson, who was getting great reviews at AA ball.
Still need a first baseman, and either a second baseman or have someone screw Cano's head back on straight.
Does the team look for a catcher, and move Jorge to DH or even 1st base? Or take the chance that he can survive another year behind the plate at age 34(I think)
I'm not even going to touch the cluster-**** that is pitching.

yeah melky was considered better than jackson when he was in trenton...

Steve, they could bring the giambino back at a reduced rate. Just not the $16mm that the option was.

The problem with CC is that he HATES NY. He told the press today that if the Yanks sign him, he's going to refuse to throw a single pitch and make them put him in the outfield.

Did he really say that? Retard. that presumes he had no choice but to sign with NY.

He's an October loser anyway, we got enough of them.

yea I heard it earlier. NY doesnt need someone like that. Let him sign somewhere else and the Yanks can spend their money on someone that'll appreciate it.

We don't need CC. We made a mistake like that already with Randy Johnson.
