PS3 warranty

Has anyone had to send their PS3 for warranty? If so about how long is the wait?

Had to send mine in. Took about 3 weeks which included them sending me a box, sending it in and getting me a new one back.

o ok sweet. i was worried it would be like a month or two. Just curious, what was wrong with yours? For some reason no bluetooth accesories work at all. The remote controls only work for a few minutes without being plugged in and even when you plug them in, the game wont read the controller anymore. Once i reset it it works fine. COD5 comes out this week and I wont have my PS3!!!! :-( :-(

You lost all your data im guessing when they sent you the new one?

Mine took about a month. It usually depends on the stock they have. When I sent mine in the new system was on back order for a few weeks.

Mine just stopped reading discs all together. I took a usb stick and saved all my stuff before I sent it off.

My brother had the same problem as Blackbirdws6. They sent him a box so he could ship it and they had it for about 2-3 weeks.

I guess that Blackbirdws6's problem is common bc my neighbor sent his back for the same thing as well. AGain, it took approx 3 weeks for it to all be taken care of. Sony was pretty good with honoring their warrenty.

Takes 3 weeks. Mine was purchased brand new in Febuary of 08 it broke like 1 month ago after very very limited use. It broke when Socom confrontation was about to come out. I couldn;t wait the 3 weeks so i sent it www.videogame911.com and paid $120 to have it repaired. Took them 2 days
