lt1 trans question

ok well im trading my 355 that i picked up for a complete lt1 minus the wireharness. i was just wondering if a th350 trans will bolt up to the lt1 or would i need a 4l60e trans? i would be looking to make a back up 383 for my monte carlo if anything happens to the 406

Yes a th350 can be used with an LT engine with no problems. If the trans shifts itself you will need to make a provision for the kick down cable, also it will need a vac reference for the modulator.
