diagnose a faulty radiator?

is there any way to diagnose a faulty radiator?

i took my camaro out for a little drive today, it still overheats after i got the temp up to about 180 or so i brought it back home. felt the radiator, some parts were cool to the touch others were hot. does that mean the coolant isnt flowing right in the radiator?

have u changed ur t-stat? also check in the rad when its running, to see if u have good circulation. u may have an air pocket kicking ur butt. try bleeding it from everywhere u can.

When was the last time the coolant was changed? Air bubbles are the enemy.

I would start with the simple things. Get yourself a new tstat, drain, and refill the system. While it is empty, pull the rad and run water through it with a hose in both direction to try to rinse any debris or goop out.
Having hot and cold spots on the rad sounds like more than just air, but hopefully it is something that will come out with a drain.
