Investors warn of Sears stock

Wall Street is advising people not to buy stock in Sears after stocks fall more than 80%. I guess with all the foreclosures, people aren't going to buy appliances if they no longer own houses.

Someone will buy the craftsman brand

BigAls87Z28 11-20-2008 07:53 PM

Eddie Lampert, the CEO Sears Holdings regrouped and realigned the different segments inside Sears about a year or so ago. Some has said that it was so that he could sell it off in chunks without worrying about the whole.

Brand Central and Auto are the 2 largest profit makers for Sears.

the auto in jersey city is keeping the store afloat. if not it would hav not even made it to the merge with kmart. and if sears flops i bet autozone will be selling craftman in no time .

Eddie Lampert does own a majority stake in the Zone.

twin99 11-24-2008 10:50 PM

it's not only Sears....people are not buying in general.

I heard people are even holding back on food which is a real bad sign.

i know we are forced to order from them b4 anyone else . and let me say duralast will never be better then wagner

BigAls87Z28 11-30-2008 02:19 PM

Ahaha, you work for SAC in Jersey City?

UserName 11-30-2008 02:21 PM

yup.

BigAls87Z28 11-30-2008 02:51 PM

Ahahahaha, thats awesome. How was your Black Friday?

I never used Autozone when I was at Sears, since none of them would deliver to the TR store. My brother uses my store all the time, and he hasnt had any problems. Wagner is pretty damn good, I will admit that, but I my brother hasnt had a problem and he has them on his car.
For the price Sears charges for the Wagners, I can pick up a set of Duralast Gold Cmax's Ceramic pads with nice set up of rubber coated ships to stop all noise.

UserName 12-05-2008 04:02 PM

black fridays wasnt that bad this years. we only made 42k . but i racked up the OT that day . we can call other places for parts but we have to call autozone first .
