tail lights poll for my 97 formy

well its for the car in the sig.... i was thinking of gettin some 98+ honeycomb lights and tinting them just seeing what you guys think would look good... opinions from others always help.... so thanks for voting if you did...

NJ Torque 11-28-2008 11:57 PM

also... do the honey sticker on the reverse...

oh, and don;t use the word formy

sweetbmxrider 11-28-2008 11:59 PM

if you did honey combs, i wouldn't tint them. they look great stock. i would consider the honey sticker on the reverse, or black that out.

I like thhe stock honey compared to the lt1. I wouldnt tint them casue then you got to worry about cops or people runnin in the back of you casue they cant see the brake lights

deadtrend1 11-29-2008 09:25 AM

I thought about doing honeycombs on the the LT1, but after seeing that the going rate is 250 bucks for the set, I think that its worthless to put up that much money to replace working/flawless taillights ...

transmaro93 11-29-2008 10:06 AM

first ill use the word formy if i want to... and i hear what your ssayen deadtread and there really isnt any malfunction with my lights... but in the last year they have started to get the condensation inside them when it rains like most of them do after some time... its not alot but still looks bad hah.... thanks for the imput... after i posted this i realized that my car isnt going to stay black forever so i dont think i want to black out honeycombs cuase it might not look so good on a diff color...although the black outs look good on your car adam and thats green... so ya never know... maybe on a lighter color it wont look so hot...

yea, i wasn't meaning to come off rude and tell you not to do them. Just for me, personally, its money that can be spent elsewhere.

I went to more expensive way to get honeycomb tailights and bought a whole car to go with it.

I've always been a fan of a smooth tail light where the center section is cleared as well. A nice polished look will give it a one piece look.

sweetbmxrider 11-29-2008 12:51 PM

it depends on the overall theme but pretty much any car can pull off black outs. stock honeycombs look great though!

Tru2Chevy 11-29-2008 03:56 PM

I think a set of honeycombs lightly tinted (not the reverse lights though) would look the best.

I think Justin is right. A light tint would go well with the little bit of red that is on the car and still not be so flashy that it stands out.

transmaro93 12-01-2008 04:42 PM

my filler is already... smoothed one step ahead of ya... hah.... wheni paint the car though im gonna get a custom bird airbrushed on that filler panel.... but for now it stays black...

Why does everyone swap their tail lights to honeycombs? I love the look of the LT1 grid lights, especially when their lit up.

^^^^ what the hell do you need pics for... you know what the diff lights look like... i like the grid lights too but i still think the honey combs look a little more fitting on the car... grid lights make it look like its trying to be a thirdgen...
