Cat back on my car?

My muffler rusted through at the connection from the over axle pipe the other day and im looking to upgrade my exhaust and get it plumbed out the back. I have a cutout in the I-pipe (its closed Josh) and id like to get rid of it.

Im looking at either the tsp rumbler or loudmouth 1, Either way i need an adaptor pipe wich SLP charges $109 for what basically looks like an S-pipe.

My question is do i but the pre-made one or so u think i can have a shop make one and fit it better to my v6? I just dont see how that pipe costs over a hundred bucks.

Also what are the size of either the TSP or SLP outlet before their tips? I want to keep the tips i have as they flow nicely with my body kit, but im pretty sure they are only 2.25" or maybe 2.5" inlets.

first off, are you getting rid of the cutout? pm me :D

you could definitely have that pipe made. slp includes hangers too but its not a crazy pipe, they just make a smooth bend. i am almost positive the SLP tailpipes are 2 1/2", i could be mistaking. alls i know is my gmmg's fit perfectly, so that size! they do make adapter pipes that step up or down in sizes if you need to go that route.

Rumbler or Loudmouth are going to sound absolutely horrible on your car. Please don't do it.

i have a 2.5" cutout (used to have an e-switch on it but i died after a year) in the i pipe just under my pass rear seat. I like it loud so its nice but on a six it gets raspy above 3k. The sound clip below docent lie, nice at idle but at 75% throttle in the video its not so pleasing. Def an acquired sound that i have grown to like, alittle.

I think a GMMG is over kill on a v6, in the sense that why put more money into this car when its never gona sound like a v8. GMMG just seems like a waste. I'd prob end up ripping it off and putting it on my next car. I just want to keep up on maintenance and use this as my DD (which ive been doing) and save for something i can really be happy with.

if u want the cutout it yours, but its only a $25 peice of pipe

then what do i do about my situation, do u suggest a different catback, magnaflow, something else i cant think of. Car sounds horrible over 3k no matter what, that fine as i don't floor this car ever and just use it to get back and forth from work

If you look at it as just a new exhaust for your DD, I would grab a Jegs catback or something and have a shop install it so they can make the S pipe and get your tips lined up correctly.
