I guess money really is nothing to the Yankees...

7 years/$161 million for CC?

I'm all for teams spending $$ how they see fit but it's ******* teams like the Yankees that really screw up the entire market for the free agents. The average salary for mediocre pitchers just jumped up a few million...

BigAls87Z28 12-10-2008 10:26 PM

son of a bitch...
I thought he was gunna go to the Giants.

Blacdout96 12-11-2008 12:06 AM

Something tells me I should of played more baseball as a kid.....

SteveR 12-11-2008 11:24 AM

They offered him that money a while ago and it took til now to convince him to come to NY, as he hates it here. Should be interesting, a fat temperamental pitcher playing for a team he hates in a city with little tolerance.

NastyEllEssWon 12-11-2008 12:57 PM

and they still wont make the playoffs this year. how about mr a-rod. Mr i cant hit a homerun unless were up by 10 points already.

were looking at a phillies dynasty on the way. with plenty of room left for salary

cdacda13 12-11-2008 01:09 PM

Old news already.

88BluBird 12-11-2008 02:46 PM

Thank you!! but then the players would rally against such a sanction, and then then they'd go on strike, god forbid they make that kind of money in only 3-5 years, and doing something that millions could only wish they could play, or do. I think playing sports is like Driving a car, it's a privilage, not just a job. Theres so many kids out there that play all their life, work their asses off, and never make it, and then these guys that do make it take it for all its worth. They complain if they dont get that multi million dollar deal, and then some of them complain abotu the team, or screw things up for themselves by doing stupid things, such as Chedder Bob carrying a gun.....your a football player, not a thug, grow up.

i agree with you but it's nice to see them finally signing someone thats young for a change. but he's not the whole answer, if they don't get another quality pitcher or 2 they will finish behind the dead sox again.

But they want a 36 year old 260 hitter who strikes out way too much to play CF

We've only hung on to Melky because he's Cano's best friend. Melky sucks. It's about time they get rid of him.

The point is Camaron is not much help. The team shoud be getting younger & faster, not older.

melky has very similar stats as Camaron and has a much better arm from center......oh yeah, and he is 12 years younger

SteveR 12-12-2008 10:46 AM

I say bring back Bernie

Mike 12-12-2008 11:00 AM

Mike 12-12-2008 02:51 PM
