Front Engine Dragster Q's

I was looking at old style "slingshot" dragsters and I was wondering what special rules they have for safety. I would imagine that having the drivers nuts resting on the rear pumpkin there are some extra safety considerations from the NHRA.

I don't see a special section in the rule book, unless I just managed to miss it.

Thanks

a buddy of mine used to drive one for a guy at Englishtown. He had the same sentiment about his "nut" location.I will see if I can get some info from him on special safety considerations

Yes, there is a section in the General rules that details the thickness of the plating needing when a driver sits above or behind the rear. the thickness is determined by if the rear has U joints or not.
