Idle/Rev Vid - My ZZ4-Cammed TPI 355!

Finally got to messing around with my camera - the video quality was much better, but YouTube killed it. The audio sounds good though. :) Motor is a ZZ4-cammed 355 with Edelbrock TES headers and a 2.5" Hooker cat-back with Aerochamber mufflers. Comments?? These sound much better than Blowmasters, IMO.

I bought the Burn1 and a couple chips from moates.net and have been messing around with programming it myself. I started with the basics; change the injector constant for the LT1 injectors, changed the fan turn on/off temps, disabled the EGR, and enabled the factory rev limiter. I know there's more in it, just have to read up on how to make it work the best it can. I also would like to get it on a wide-band dyno once the new clutch goes in - the current one is slipping badly once you really lay into the throttle. All I need is time and Mother Nature to cooperate so we can drop the trans in the late winter and install the new clutch.

Looks pretty neat. I am running that cam in my setup with a 350 punched out .030 as well. Good luck with the tune!

are those wheels grey zr1's? If so, where did you get them?

BigAls87Z28 01-03-2009 01:11 AM

They are the SLP's ZR1's designed for third gen's offset, as well as G bodies and a handful of GM muscle cars for the last 30 years.

Sounds good, Steve.

I'd love ZR1's for a G body... if I ever build a cruiser, thats what its getting.

Like Al said, I got 'em from SLP. They were originally all silver, but I got ambitious and bought a few cans of Duplicolor's Graphite Wheel paint and did this to them -

It was time consuming, but not difficult, so even if you find a set of silver ZR1s in the right offset for your 4th-gen, go for the paint option.

Thanks! The only problem with these wheels now is that SLP discontinued 'em, so you'd have to go with the C4 version with wheel adapters. I always wished that they made 'em in a 9" width, but I can put 255s on these and that should be wide enough.
