Bush: Obama's Biggest Priority Not The Economy?
http://www.cnbc.com/id/28619883
"And he gave his view of the most urgent priority facing the incoming president: the possibility of an attack on the United States. The Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks changed the country and shaped his own presidency. "That will be the major threat," Bush said, putting the risk of another attack over the dire economic problems now facing the nation." Doesn't make sense to me, unless he knows something we don't? :?: |
Its always a possibility. Without getting to political one of the theories over the whole Israel/Gaza thing is its to test the incoming foreign policy of the Obama administration. Same goes for whatever Iran has been doing lately.

There's no doubt he will need to maintain the security needed to prevent a terrorist attack. The economy can be handled internally. If we let our guard down then something bad will happen. As for Isreal attacking Hamas, I figured they did it before Bush left office because he wouldn't oppose it where Obama most likely would. That's probably the hint that Biden gave when he said Obama was going to be tested within the first 6 months of his presidency.

They can also gauge Obamas response without having him get involved just yet.

COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT ANOTHER ATTACK SIMILAR TO THE ONE OF 9/11 WOULD DO IN THE ECONOMIC SITUATION WE NOW FACE?
|
Eh...yeah it would get bad, but not that bad as people would think.
An attack can happen at any time. With the Taliban gaining greater and greater strength in Afgan, its very possible. Economy is the biggest issue this country faces. But it gets so deep that its almost unfathomable... |
