Strano lowering springs are on the T/A

Sorry for cell phone pics, digital camera batteries pooped out.

Got the strano springs and for now could only afford KYB AGX shocks (down the road i want Konis). But im very happy with the handling. Only did 40 miles of driving on the highway and i could take a 40mph on ramp at 60mph like a breeze. Ill update pics in a month or two after they sag like all springs do after 2-3months. im extremly happy with the stance. O if anyone notices im on the wrong side of the pump thats because i didnt need gas i was there for the light and level ground.

Before with OEM springs

After with strano lowering springs

ta350 01-24-2009 09:46 AM

1.5 inch drop or 1.8?

bcgetfresh 01-24-2009 12:42 PM

looks way better....but how rough is the ride? And how often do you bottom out lol

camaro2you 01-24-2009 12:49 PM

I would love to drop mine some but i wouldn't have a driveshaft loop, tranny pan or headers after the first ride lol.

Well, you could drive it around your circle without a problem....trying to leave your street would kill it though :(

strano says 1.2 but every seems to sag to 1.5 and i would say it sure looks 1.5.

On the ride, it gets bouncy sometimes, but on a normal road its great. About bottoming out. the only thing is you will scrape your front airdam but you can do that with stock springs. If your bottoming out hit metal or the front bumper than your just driving plain stupid. My 3rd gen never had scrapes on the front bumper or anywhere and neither does this 4th gen. What i maybe getting the bounce from is these shocks not damping the spring oscoaltion, you pay for what you get. Springs on the other hand are the only only ones worth getting. you dont need to be any lower than 1.5, after that then it makes it even harder to align

you're telling me that you can eyeball a 1/4 inch difference?

Car looks nice, I would lower mine but don't think my y-pipe would clear anything.

Gotta measure ride height all around. and I would see how much clearance you have between the road and your y pipe

sweetbmxrider 01-25-2009 04:23 PM

Nice. KYB I hear good things from actually, and considering how much the Konis are I'm sure your wallet thanks you.
