ZR1 Goes Faster Around Ring

Jan Magnuson ran a victory red ZR1 around the ring at 7:22:04. Still .03 slower then the Viper ACR, but the Viper still has the advantage with tires.

Previously a GM engineer took the title as fastest production car at 7:24:06 untill the ACR took the lead.

Road and Track has a large article about it and the Ring itself in its most recent issue. Very interesting read BTW.

Damn I had always hoped when they re-ran it that it would pull ahead of the viper.

The ACR is a purpose built race car. If the ZR1 can get that close that is impressive
