painted the tail panel
I did this a little bit ago but i figure i'll share, dont mind the mess in the car had to store the rims in there for the time being
Heres a pic with the tail panel off and ready to be sanded, the green tape was for the area that i wanted to keep blue http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/046.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/050.jpg Heres the piece pretty much sanded down, still had alittle left to do around the letters and tail light area http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/047.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/048.jpg Here's the piece after completed sanding and wiped down with prep wipes for paint...it was still wet from the prep wipes when i took the pic... http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/051.jpg Here it is after primer (was sanded again after primer using finer grade sandpaper), prep wiped and waiting to dry for final coat of paint http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/052.jpg after first coat of flat black paint....doesnt look much different then the primer lol http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/053.jpg Back on the car after a few coats. dont mind what looks to be imperfections on the tail panel, it was the sun's reflection from the bumper and hatch. http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/054.jpg http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...Xtreme/055.jpg I always like the look of camaro's this way. Not bad considering it was all done with dupli-color rattle can paint and primer. |

Very nice job bro. what paint did you use as a final coal, or did you put a clear coat finish on it.
|
Your BLACKED OUT TAIL PANEL looks good, especially considering the materials you used. It complements the color of the car nicely.
|
nice, i dig it
