subaru and suzuki have pulled their works teams out of the 2009 wrc season....

No subaru OR Mitsu = no care...

there will be subarus........just not the factory teams.

This is what happens when you have a rules package that is a moving target and times tighten up a bit. Thanks FIA/WRC, another great job. :roll:

Not really. I don't know if Speed channel didn't persue or didn't get the contract or whatever, but they haven't said anything about showing it this year.

Subaru officially stopped running "factory" cars last year but continued to fully fund and sponsor teams through the same shop that was prepping cars for the factory all along. I dunno what the difference really was, they were still paying for 4 cars to be prepped for each of the top 3 touring levels of WRC. Maybe it was just a paperwork thing, who knows.
