Are people honestly this dense? /rant
 

ok so i have to vent a little frustration. I am not going to throw any names in here, and try to keep it calm. they know who they are.

why is it that people think their "stock-exhaust only" car is faster than a cam/exhaust/tune car? obviously both LS1s Im just curious to understand where logic comes into play here?

360rwhp > 320rwhp correct?
4.10 > 2.73 correct?

sooo i dont understand the logic behind some people thinking they are better than everyone else.

because central and north jersey have alot of power plants...j/k

its the same reason honda kids wanna race a V8, to feel better about the size of their penis. even the girls.

bench racing sucks

unless your bench has a camed SBC

i suppose....i wont loose sleep over it. im not the one that goes around talking **** to other people just for the sole purpose of making myself feel bigger.

why is it that people have to bother me about racing and ****? im not trying to prove anything to anyone. i just want a quick street car that looks nice. but everyone has to run their ****ing mouths for some ungodly reason.

mike, there was no bench racing involved. im just trying to figure out the mentality of some of my fellow humans.

if people were arguing about how fast a car could or would be.....without actually running said car or cars........there was bench racing

my buddy that I live with used to talk alot of **** on my old T/A. his T/A has a 400, HSR, lunati cam, mid tube headers, computer chip, 3.73 rear and he couldn't out run my carbed 350. now that motor is in the lighter buick, with more done to it, and he swears that same T/A is gonna blow it away...some people just don't learn till you shut the down at the track, and then its still excuses

it seems like he's saying the person was tring to talk smack and he was evading the bench

i wasnt disputing that. my post was created due to trying to understand why some people are stupid, and insist on the impossible.

people are stoopid. not getting around that.

yeah its so true...i live in dover and almost everyday on the way to work some honda has to pull up next to me and jump the light as i look at them like dude some people do just drive these cars...but it is fun to stomp them from time to time to prove a point.

well...it is possible for a bolt on car to beat a cammed car...a lot of the time its all in the driver. coughalexcough

are they both the same type manual vs. manual? was the person just trying to be a dick on purpose. I've done that just because I thought the other person was a tool so I just make **** up that I know will piss them off. LOL

Mostly people talk trash because they are so insecure about themselves they need to try to make others look bad or foolish. You need to know when to walk away. I've said it before and I'll say it again my favorite saying is, "a wise man knows not to argue with a fool, from a distance people can't tell the distance."

i have a guy at school who drives a brand new audi....... always trash talking American cars......

my thing is i drive my car because i LIKE my car..... not because my car is better than your car

he said to me one night in class "i know my audi can be your american trash"

and i replied "of course your car can i drive an lo3 duh. but years from now your car will be still considered a yuppy car while my car will always be cool"

The fact is, there are idiots on all sides. When I hear one, first thing I do is just walk away/ignore the trash talk. If they keep it up, I just simply invite them to the track to find out.

if a person with a ton of mods, cant drive.......he can lose

reading a list of parts the car has, and deciding from that which car will win and lose, is just gonna lead to headaches
