spool question

alright well i went to island last night and the 10 bolt took a crap on me and is making alot of noise from the back and is about to blow im looking at getting a moser 12bolt package deal thing or something lol my question is the package im looking at has a full spool is that going to be alright for the street ? or does anyone know where i can get a good complete rear end for a good price ?

Spools are not street friendly. Unless you never turn and like broken axles and wheel studs.

Like Scott said, spools are not very street friendly. There are people out there that live with it, but it is not a comfortable way to drive especially if you get caught away from home in the rain.

Look at the links>>>.

JSPerformance, SSP, and TMR all have contacts you get you the rear you want and need.

I don't know if you talked to my friend Dan in the yellow 442 last night, but he has a spool in that beast. It doesn't exactly like turning.

You do not want a spool for the street. YES, you can do it but it's not a good idea.

NO SPOOL! you'll end up breaking axles just trying to park the thing.

Ran a spool on the street for years. Never brooke an axel and its not as bad as you guys make it out to be.

its true that people "run spools on the street for years" as you put it and never encounter a problem. but if you're not making big power, you dont need it and its just one more annoyance/possible problem.

A spool is really used for drag applications.
