crazyblazer87 03-24-2009 07:02 PM

bad64chevelle 03-24-2009 08:09 PM

you gonna push your luck with the GMC now after you took out a 6speed trans? whenever you wanna go Justin, ill ride shotgun.

NJSPEEDER 03-24-2009 08:13 PM

I don't kow if I trust the trans in the Jeep that much and I am still a few paychecks from having the cash to rebuild it. If there is a seat available you know I am willing to be spotter

I never want you to hear you bust my balls ever again about not taking the Ram.

crazyblazer87 03-24-2009 08:17 PM

Tim what kind of jeep do you have?

NJSPEEDER 03-24-2009 08:19 PM

Your ram runs and drives reliably, my Jeep......not so much. lol

It is fine for highway trips, but I already got the trans hot enough to start slipping just playing around in the little neighborhood stuff so I doubt it will survive a Wharton trip

crazyblazer87 03-24-2009 08:21 PM

Wow i am surprised that an AW4 trans is failing. I have never seen one fail yet. My 89 with 250k still had the trans shifting perfectly.

They'll last forever when taken care of....evidently one of the previous owners didn't do so much....

Hey if you need someone to rebuild it i can ask one of the guys if they will do it for you under the table.

NJSPEEDER 03-24-2009 08:27 PM

I did two filter and fluid changes and it is much better. Just getting even mildly stuck in anything heavy and I can hear and feel it slipping

crazyblazer87 03-24-2009 08:33 PM

you know that is what the trans tech at my shop said for me to do if either one of my cherokees transmission were to act up. he said that is all that he has ever really had to do to them besides when they sucked in water from off-roading or the extremely rare failure.
