Felt like I lost the clutch hydraulics, aslo was basically locked up so it was almost impossible to downshift

That's fine, once it welds itself together it will be very efficient.

WildBillyT 04-14-2009 06:45 PM

FACT!

That clutch looks horrible! Is that out of your GTA?

Pampered-Z 04-15-2009 09:18 AM

That can be fixed. I got some JBweld and scotch brite pads!

LMAO!
Actually the other side (flywheel side) is OK, it shows signs that it would have given up soon. Flywheel was hotspotted and blued from the 30+ minutes of slipping the clutch to limp it home but I was able to buy a new insert for the flywheel from Summit and got it in 3 days.
Yes that was out of the 91 GTA that I have.

You posted too late. I already bought a SPEC stage 3 to replace it :-x Car is all back together now. I would have liked to bring to E-town on saturady (mold and all on the paint) but when I went back in the garage after the test drive I saw a few of the soldiers fell out of one of the u-joint caps. Now I have to take that out and see if I can just clean and put them all back in.
