T5 tranny

would the T5 tranny from the v6's bolt up to a 93 LT1?

nope

The bellhousing bolt-patterns are different, so even if the trans would hold up (most V6 T5s are really weak) I don't think you could adapt it without some major headaches.

ok, thanks, my friend is doin some work on his trans am and he just wanted to kno, i told him use the T56, but he was hell bent on the T5 for some reason, w/e, thanks though

a v8 t5 would work but with some engine mods, it woulnt last too long. a t56 is really to only smart choice, just make sure u get a LT1 t56 bellhousing, and a lt1 t56, because ls1 t56 components wont work.
