pushrod length

real quick - i need to upgrade my pushrods for my new AFR heads as well as my roller rocker set up......stock pushrod length is 7.20" i beleive........do I go with the stock/same length pushrod???

i am guessing yes.....but i am not sure..

thanks....

Depends on whether your new heads are the same height as stock. Always good practice to measure though.

well assuming they are the same height as my factory heads.....then the same length pushrod should apply....??

will changing to a 1.6 RR play into pushrod length?

Yes, it should be the same length. When my car was stockish, I ran stock PRs and 1.6 RRs and when I pulled the heads the pattern on the valve stems looked good. So I don't think higher ratio rockers will change the geometry.

I would check with AFR though, things may be different than stock heads.

I would double check anyway by using the stock pushrod. Mark the tip of the valve with a sharpie then put the pushrod in and the roller rocker on and set the valve lash. Rotate the engine over at least two times, then take it apart. Look at the tip of the valve and you should see where the marker wore off. It the pattern is in the middle of the tip, then you have the correct length. If not then you need a different size pushrod.
