camaro is lower...but the guy is in the way so you can't tell if it's wider or not.

DevilDougWS6 05-05-2009 06:43 PM

i am really feeling both of these cars now. the challenger is sexy as hell but definitely too tall. the camaro is something i would consider buying now.

r0nin89 05-05-2009 06:44 PM

I feel like the challenger looks completely different in person wheras the Camaro looks just as top notch as its pictures. Its clearly not as retro though which I think is sorta a good thing.

NjbadSS 05-05-2009 06:45 PM

wow..awesome shot.. the new camaro is just starting to grow on me..I already grew a love for the look of the new challenger

BigAls87Z28 05-05-2009 06:46 PM

Challenger and Camaro are similar in width, but lenght and hight are different.

Tsar 05-05-2009 06:49 PM

I dunno which interior is uglier. Challenger made me think I was sitting in a Dodge ram

I do like Dodge Ram though, just not as a car..

Teds89IROC 05-05-2009 07:00 PM

challenger is cool looking but I would def take the camaro over it

maroman88 05-05-2009 07:04 PM

the challenger is deff growing on me too... esp after seeing an SRT8 rip it the other night :) i havent seen a new camaro in person other then at the auto show, i hear paramus chevy is getting a few in on friday tho

MonmouthCtyAntz 05-05-2009 07:07 PM

Great pics

I've seen both in person and like them for different reasons. The Camaro is the modern car. It has a menacing look to it, the kind where if you were to get in a starring contest with you'd never have a chance winning. The Challenger on the other hand is the old-school bruiser that says muscle car the minute you see it and reminds you of a simpler time.

BigAls87Z28 05-05-2009 09:28 PM

Great part...its a RT Challenger parked next to a V6 Camaro.

NastyEllEssWon 05-05-2009 09:33 PM

i thought the red rs badge meant it was a v8

Hood nostril = V8?

Camaro is much lower, but looks similar width

NastyEllEssWon 05-05-2009 09:41 PM

i would hope you can order an ss without the ugly hood scoop

No, v6 has the closed hood, v8 has open nostril. RS package has no effect on that.

Was the picture in the OP taken at the cops and rodders show?

BigAls87Z28 05-05-2009 11:19 PM

RS = appearance package
SS = V8 package

Why does the Firebird look longer then the Camaro? They look pretty similar in size, but Camaro's porportions are just more over the top. Higher belt line, larger wheels, longer wheel base, heavier rake windshield, aggressive nose, etc etc.

Tsar 05-06-2009 09:16 AM

Damn, a black Camaro looks pretty nice, on the outside.

Although I didn't take it, I don't think so

ta350 05-06-2009 12:35 PM

Challenger = boat on wheels...... imo

r0nin89 05-10-2009 08:41 AM

See after seeing that TA against it I think its the rear of the camaro that steers away from the classic look. The body line rises up and stays there on the new one wheras the cars of yesteryear came up and then faded down halfway back. Plus the ass is just too short.

I still love it though.

sweetbmxrider 05-10-2009 09:22 AM

wow that black is ****ing hawt

JL8Jeff 05-10-2009 01:45 PM

I like both of them. And I don't really care too much about what the interior is like. As long as there are gauges and they work, it's good enough for me.
