Stockers will clear aftermarket rockers... and fyi, most aftermarket ones will need to be clearanced as well.

You have seen mine, I could get you specifics if ya want.

sweetbmxrider 05-13-2009 12:30 PM

well i want something that looks cleaner than stock and i figured i could get "tall" ones to clear different rockers. do you have a couple pics and info on yours?

LTb1ow 05-13-2009 12:31 PM

Theres the cantons, but I have heard the leak...

Those look like mine, but not sure if they are notched or not....

sweetbmxrider 05-13-2009 01:18 PM

i don't like the welds on the cantons

the second ones i have seen on ebay but i don't know how i would feel about that filler neck. they are pretty nice though

The E-bay ones look like mine, they were made by a company called something like Weysco, but they stopped producing them about 6-7 years ago. I don't know of anyone that still makes the one peice ones anymore.

Canton also stopped producing their high rise valve covers for the LT1, Don't forget the valve cover needs to be notched for the Alt unless you are running a Corvette Serp set up.

You can use Corvette composite valve covers as they don't need to be clearanced, but they are pretty expensive brand new, and when they do pop up used I've seen them move very quickly.

ya i have thought about relocating the alternator but it really doesn't seem worth it. i see some sick looking valve covers then go ah ****, no notch! i'll keep looking around though, thanks guys

LTb1ow 05-13-2009 05:14 PM

Powder coat the stockers bright red or something like that. Looks real nice IMO.

sweetbmxrider 05-13-2009 05:48 PM

pics? i did see stockers with the raised portions silver, looked pretty bad ass
