it adjusts with zip code. It makes sense for a Florida car to be worth more than a car from around here since the weather down there is much more friendly to a car so it should be in much better shape in the underbody.

Anyway, that LS1 looks like an eye soar.

FlyingDutchman 05-13-2009 08:33 PM

Oo so thats the "ELL-ESS-WON", if that be the case, i got me one too!

Remember back when I brought my old 97 in for service at the chevy dealer in Ocean Twp. The lady that was working the service counter had a new 98 or 99z and swore to me it had a LT1...I told her to go pop the hood and id prove her wrong but she kinda just dismissed me like she knew she was right and didnt want to waste her time lol...Thats pretty bad when you work for Chevy and dont even know what engine your car has.

Yea salesman know absoultely nothing...especially ford and chevy dealers and their performance cars.

DevilDougWS6 05-14-2009 09:46 AM

i like how it has an "LS1" vinyl on the back next to Z28

WildBillyT 05-14-2009 09:49 AM

Whatever. I lost count of the number of people who laugh at 70Z or 70 Vette owners that "claim their car has a non fuel injected LT1".

Knipps 05-14-2009 11:16 AM

When I first got my Caprice 9C1 someone tried convincing me it wasn't an LT1 but TPI

jims69camaro 05-14-2009 02:12 PM

well, he IS from delray beach...

it "has z28 rims"!!! (i can has bucket?!? ) and he's being so magnanimous about the $400 repair that "needs to" the convertible top. talk about dumber and dumberer... this one's dumberest.

Whiplash Performance 05-14-2009 02:25 PM

That looks like one hell of an LS1! lol.
The best sales man I have ran into was test driving a GTP that had a rod knock and the guy told me that's how a supercharger sounds.

LOL. Yeah. "And the supercharger oil doesn't need to be changed because it's not in the maintenance schedule."

I went to a trans shop to pick up a pan gasket for my 4L65E.

The guy said is it front wheel drive? I said no its rear wheel drive its the same pan gasket as the 700 and 4l60e and kept on insisting that the goat was front wheel drive.

I asked him why do the rear tires smoke when i turn off the traction control nail the brake and gas at the same time?
He was like I guess its rear wheel drive then.
