Surfing anybody?

Hey any of you guys go surfing? I'm looking for a board to get into it. I found a pretty sweet Lost board for 300 at a surf shop in good shape. Anyone know any surf shops that are in the central area that have a good selection of used stuff? I'm still checking around for a relatively cheap board that's good for just starting out.

i love to surf. unfortunately, surfing joined the list of activities that i am no longer able to participate in.

get yourself a nice long board. with the quality of waves along the jersey shore, you'll actually be able to ride them instead of pop, ride, dive that you'd do with a short board. until you get better, that is. even then, you might lean more towards the longer sticks in your quiver.

back surgery. what i wouldn't give for one afternoon out there with the breakers, just me and the waves.

you'll want to invest in a leash, too. the first time you really have to chase your board will change your mind if you think you can surf without one.
