Not sure. Probably a lot. Rumor has it that 2 were crushed, and you can probably find the VINs of all 4 on the 'net somewhere to make ID easy.

The person that has the 2 I know of has gm paperwork on them from the factory and the gm test track results that was done on them by gm.One car is black and the other is a rally red one.no air,no radio,no power anything.and they only have 2500 miles on them.

And you are sure they are 1988 and not a later year?

69RSZ 06-15-2009 01:37 PM

positive.I actually drove the red one.The owner told me they were supposed to be crushed but he got them somehow from GM.

69RSZ 06-15-2009 01:40 PM

there are a few later year 1le on ebay, asking prices around 25k.

If the cars are real, that would probably be the lowest ballpark price you could get, considering these are first year and 1 or 4.

hmmmm, I wonder......

BigAls87Z28 06-15-2009 08:23 PM

4th is probably scatterd among several third gens in the north jeresy area...and possibly recycling yards, scrap yards and who knows what else

Tru2Chevy 06-15-2009 08:34 PM

If the cars are legitimate '88 1LEs with less than 2,500 miles and are in great shape / all stock, I would say he could get significantly more than $25,000 if he held out for the right buyer. That's a car that's gonna be worth a ton of money in another 15-20 years.
