Ticket/Driving question

At the risk of perpetuating the slew of dumb threads... I have a question.

I know you can get a ticket for spinning your tires if the cop feels you did it on purpose etc, but can you get a ticket for doing a clutch dump or similar with an auto car? Assuming you don't spin at all and do not exceed the speed limit. Reckless driving I would guess?

exhibition of acceleration
unsafe driving
careless driving
or
reckless driving

exhibition of speed or acceleration i believe, so you could be ticketed if you accelerate too fast

LTb1ow 06-20-2009 09:14 AM

Ah what the gay. Ok, thanks guys, figured it was something like that.

If you accelerate too quickly you can get a unsafe start ticket, if you accelerate too quickly and cross a line/lane or exceed the limit by a certain MPH you will get a reckless driving charge.,

Crayface 06-23-2009 01:07 AM

usually will be unsafe or careless driving... Reckless is on a whole other level then the rest of the charges and reckless usually is applied when over the speed limit by 15 mph.. usually but there many exceptions to that

NastyEllEssWon 06-24-2009 02:50 PM

careless/unsafe is a way different ticket for reckless. reckless driving can be ticketed for getting up to the speed limit too fast. yup they can ticket you for that

WildBillyT 06-24-2009 04:07 PM

Here's the short of it. It will be a ticket of some type. Depends on the officer's mood.

79T/A 06-24-2009 09:11 PM

Careless driving.

LTb1ow 06-24-2009 09:12 PM

Well then, I suppose I should avoid launching around cops. ;)

79T/A 06-24-2009 09:13 PM

LOL! Good plan.

Jersey Mike 06-24-2009 09:17 PM

That's just silly

NastyEllEssWon 06-24-2009 09:18 PM

or just plan your route to wherever your going to minimize cop-ular attention

Jersey Mike 06-24-2009 10:37 PM

The downsides of a SBC :(
