help me accessorize my new laptop

As you all have seen from my countless posts about computer problems, I suck at teh computers. In any event, I have been on the relentless pursuit of a portable laptop with a keyboard like the one on the Sony I have now and I found a Dell that I absolutely adore. I am ready to order it, but I am completely lost on what accessories and add-ons to order it with. I use my laptop for Microsoft Office, Internet, iTunes, and storing my pictures. Obviously battery life and reliability are the main concerns, so what options would you add to this laptop and why? laptop description can be found at that link below. Thanks

ps- obviously the 9-cell battery will be checked

Since you won't be using it for games or other CPU-intensive applications the standard 2.0GHz processor should be fine....the 2.4GHz is a cheap ($25) upgrade that should help keep your laptop usable for a longer period of time though.

If you are worried about battery life, I would definitely spend the extra $125 on the WLED display, they save power over traditional CCFL backlight LCDs.

Upgrade the memory to 4GB - $35

I would go all out and grab the 500 GB hard drive as well. Plenty of space for storage.

I kept it pretty tame

And yes, I am. I don't have any of my own to spend, so why not?

Nothing personalizes a laptop like stickers! And it will run faster! How about one of these?

sounds good. I actually ran into a buddy of mine who is computer savy and he told me the same. He actually recommended the smaller hard drive though because it is faster. I don't think i can order the smaller drive with the discount so I'm probably going to just get the larger drive anyway. he didn't mention about the screen taking less energy, that is great info. Thanks!

I agree!

Your going to love the laptop. I recently bought a XPS M1530 a month ago and I absolutely love it.

+1

XPS is a great laptop and the one that is listed below should work great for what you are using it for.
