Whats the deal?
I have seen now 2 non-GM dealers with 5th gens. One is a used car dealer in the Elizabeth area. It had a red one but I havent been past in a few weeks now. The other one is the Lexus dealer on Rt 1 just south of 287 on the south bound side. The 5th gen is silver and has been there for a few weeks now. I passed today and noticed it.... :-?

Maybe they bought it from a GM dealer to re-sell?
|
i agree with bill, maybe it attracts people to their lot as well.

did u mistake the new camaro for the mustang?
...if so...rookie mistake on your part |
either they bought them at msrp and are flipping them with mark-up or they were the ones that caught on fire. possibly the owner's/an employee's just drawing attention too.

Yeah when I drove by the one on Rt1 the first time it was dark and I though maybe it was a Challenger, it was also off to the side and I was driving so I wasnt sure what I saw. Today I was stopped and was able to take a good look at it. Quote:

LOL. B64C said he has seen a number of them go through the auction, so I'm sure they are just trying to make a buck or 5000.

a lot of them will make deals too like if a GM dealer wants to sell off 5 or 6 used cars, The used car lot will try to get a camaro or corvette or a pickup at lower cost in exchange for taking the used cars. This happened with c5s right before the c6 came out, they sold them off to everyone
|
I'm sure a dealer demo'ed a new Camaro, put 800 miles on it and sent it to auction. They may be getting good money there. Who knows yet.
