3 Attachment(s)
Hey guys, figured i'd share my accomplishment.
got done w/ my lq9 install.
here are the stats:
408 lq9
custom ported heads
607/610 lift cam
96mm intake
60lb/hr injectors
charged to 12 psi
intercooled
methanol injection
built 4l65e trans
3800 stall tci
all pushin through a stock 10 bolt w/3:73's

can't wait to see the 10 bolt pop.(rear wasn't in the budget so i gotta take it easy on it for a while) YEAH RIGHT

NJ Torque 07-18-2009 11:58 PM

Always suppose to build a car back foward...

How do you like that PP intake?

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 12:04 AM

nice intake, had to do a little bit of clean up on it with porting bits, besides that i didn't like the gaskets cause they intruded into the area of the spray pattern for the injectors. so i modified them. nice finish and will flow alot of air.

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 12:08 AM

i had a moser 12bolt out of my 3rd. gen but didn't want to have to use spacers on the wheels. its a daily driver(somewhat)
got tired of the 9 sec. full blown race car(trailer queen) needed sumtin to run around on 37 with again. been a couple years since i been out.

Jam 07-19-2009 12:24 AM

very nice. post up a vid or two =]

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 12:33 AM

should be goin to the dyno @ the end of next week so i will try to get a dyno vid and a in-car pass down the road vid. put them up as soon as i got em.

metal intake? are you worried about heat soak at all? i know someone else was having a problem with it

Blackbirdws6 07-19-2009 06:27 AM

Looks great and I'm sure it will throw down some badass numbers.

with the meth injection he shouldnt have a problem. Sick looking set up, should run run pretty quick with a decent rear.

LTb1ow 07-19-2009 08:47 AM

Woah. Looks like a mess under the hood.

Should be quick for a second or so.

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 09:48 AM

heat soak shouldn't be a problem, running a dual nozzle meth setup.
as for woah it looks like a mess........ yeah it does now but its cause i have wiring and stuff hanging out and tools all over the place. look at the ratchet hanging off the one clamp, ha hah ha

gonna baby it out of the hole for a while til i can afford the rear.
my 00ss went 11.60 w/ stock 10bolt launchin @ 4500, i had to change posi unit every 5k, should be alright for a while as long as i dont launch hard on boost.

WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OF THE STRANGE S90?

Blacdout96 07-19-2009 10:11 AM

Sleeper....did you go into NAPA yesterday to buy grommets for your boost gauge?

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 10:26 AM

i went in the waretown napa yesterday but not for grommets, for some antifreeze and to pay my account bill.

Blacdout96 07-19-2009 10:39 AM

Oh ok, I was about to say. Yeah I had a kid come in who needed rubber grommets for a boost gauge, and a couple other things. and BTW, what kind of rims are those, I like them? where'd you get them?

wheels are driftz venoms,17x9
real nice wheel and decent price like $150.00/wheel
liked them cause they were similar to bbs style wheels and you know how all of us loved the gta wheels.
available in gunmetal, satin, and i think polished

sweetbmxrider 07-19-2009 12:01 PM

setup looks awesome. can't wait to see it out on 37 :)

thx anyway, but i sold the moser 12bolt cause i didn't want to have to buy spacers, and not have my abs and all. i'm gonna probly buy a s90 thats setup with abs provisions.

madness410 07-19-2009 07:08 PM

sweet. that intake looks sick.

arrite guys place your bets place your bets...i say 10 bolt lasts 2 weeks..

S.J.SLEEPER 07-19-2009 09:17 PM

the 10 bolt has to last me at least last me a month.
i jst got done spending $2400 on vinyl fence for my yard to keep the kids from going in the street, and the speed density tune is gonna set me back another $700-$800.
then i still got slap insurance back on it.

as long as none of u guys force me to whip your ass on 37 then it should last me a month, otherwise somebodies gonna help push!!!!

LTb1ow 07-19-2009 09:18 PM

Bring it.
