High School yearbook quote?

Mine was "I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're going and meet up with them later."

Graduated in '08.

madness410 07-30-2009 05:45 PM

'relax, and let the good times roll'

quote by steve stiffler. its also a song by the cars

band77one 07-30-2009 06:09 PM

we didnt do that in my yearbook =(

creeper 07-30-2009 06:25 PM

this was this year for me haha. we have a much bigger section than most schools i guess:

"But instinct is something which transcends knowledge. We have, undoubtedly, certain finer fibers that enable us to perceive truths when logical deduction, or any other willful effort of the brain, is futile...The gift of mental power comes from God, Divine Being, and if we concentrate our minds on that truth, we become in tune with this great power." -Nikola Tesla

"Brian, Devon, Steve, Sean, Dub, Tib, The Ram, the Jeep, the barn, kings, 360, attic, Brian's garage, the Z(RIP), Trans Am FTW, scoot gang, ut2003 demo, water drinking contest, reservoir, Holland Home, Koreatown, Boulder Run, the race, the cruise, fireworks, Krauszer's, Green pond. Good Times"

^^^ the second paragraph is just a list of friends, cars, and stupid stuff we did. only put in key words so i can go back in 15 years and try to remember all the dumb things i did. also, some of it was kind of illegal so i couldn't put full thoughts haha.

Saitin 07-30-2009 06:34 PM

never had a picture taken for my school, only record I ever attended is in a file some place and my name in the unlisted section of all 4 years.

Tsar 07-30-2009 06:55 PM

Mehh HS is not important, so I didn't put in quotes in there - just wanted to get out.

Crayface 07-30-2009 06:59 PM

Mine was, "Red lights are optional"

bubba428 07-30-2009 07:02 PM

I was a ghost, the only record of my attendance is my diploma and a few police reports.
I was not even in the un-pictured section all 4 years

nj85z28 07-30-2009 07:06 PM

never graduated

thunder 07-30-2009 08:36 PM

"RIP John 'Bonzo' Bonham" - yeah, i'm dating myself. whatever.

i can't speak for him, but i can offer a few thoughts about Arbeit Macht Frei. sometimes we are so quick to judge people that we often put them in the wrong category. i don't think one of you knows for sure what he meant by it, so you are jumping to conslusions. he could have meant it in brotherhood, or he could have had relatives there. then again, his ancestry could be in the SS, in which case i would STFU about it before they visit you in the night with a black bag, asking for your papers...

in any case, unless he comes in and explains himself, we don't know what he meant by the quote. so, take a step slower in time - you never know when you will be misjudged for your actions or words.

I do not believe we were too quick to judge. I think it would have been in poor taste, regardless of how he meant it since it will be interpreted another way by many. That's all.

Think about it this way: What if I said "I'm going out to the woods to douse some faggots in gas and light them on fire". Actually I mean I'm going to take some bundles of sticks out to have a camp fire, but I bet a ton of people would read that the other way.

Bad taste regardless of intent. Not a burn on Matt at all.
