Texas bound.

Well, I found out last week that I got accepted to an auto body program down at a school in Texas. I was considering not going at first, however, I'm definitely not going to let this opportunity pass me by. So, this weekend will be spent packing my bags, and Monday I'll be off to Texas so I can start in the spring. Just figured I'd share the news. :-D

Thanks.. I'll actually be less than an hour from Austin. My best friend lives there, so I'll probably be there on most of my weekends lol.

Good luck. Leaving and going that far is a big step, i tried it in '07 but would have been to the outer banks NC, i already had morgtage approvals and was looking at houses with a realtor, but just didnt happen quick enough and i joined the army 4 months later... now im like 15,000 miles away from nj... ironic huh?

Oh, I won't. Not unless it's to visit my family and my friends.

I want to get myself situated down there, and get used to my job so that I don't have to do it all at once right before the semester starts.

Texass eh?

Well have fun... never been a fan of people from there...

texas can be a fun place to live. i was there in the '70s for a few years, then back to NJ. everytime (no kidding) i leave this state i always come back. now i have a family, so there won't be any more attempts. the next time i leave, it will be for good.

so, good luck, man. the climate down there is so much different than NJ. you'll quickly understand why people tint their cars - even 1/2 way down the windshield. oh, and it's legal, too.

www.ricekiller.com is centered in Texas, i believe the DFW area to be more precise. Im on their board too and they are all pretty cool.
