should be interesting, didnt read the whole article but did they say how much it weighs?

Miles 08-17-2009 11:12 PM

I didn't see anything about how much it weighs. v8 power with the v6 fuel economy..looks decent.

maroman88 08-17-2009 11:22 PM

looks nice, nice idea... the back looks like a maxima and a sebring and i think toyota wants there camry headlight back

BigAls87Z28 08-17-2009 11:51 PM

Wow, just heard about it eh?
Its about 4400lbs, price starts near 40k, performance laggs behind the G8 GT, and Hemi cars.
V6 gas milage? I belive its 17/25, similar to that of the V8 G8 GT, but doesnt handle nearly as well. And starting at 40k....yikes.

Miles 08-18-2009 12:02 AM

I was just quoting off the article ha. thinking of a twin turbo too?

ib4200 08-18-2009 02:39 AM

twin turbo sounds like no fun unless your getting close to redline

BonzoHansen 08-18-2009 08:18 AM

I thought I saw a commercial where they pronounced it the taurus 'show'. Huh, I always have heard them refered to as S H Os. 'show' sounds kind of lame.

The early SHOs with the yamaha V6s & 5-speeds were pretty neat little grocery getters.

!!!

Damn! That's the same weight as an Explorer.

And I always pronounced it "SHO" and not "S-H-O"...

the chevy malibu wants its dashboard gauges back as well.

Other than the obvious borrowed design features i think its a nice car. I want to test drive one with the all wheel drive to see how it actually handles and all.
It seems to have some impressive numbers for a v6 tho.

WildBillyT 08-18-2009 08:52 AM

I think this will sum up my feelings better:

it was in the new car and driver this month too. they said despite it being twin turbo....you cant hear the intake/exhaust at all in the interior.

fords throwing the ecoboost motor in everything now. the flex and its lincoln variant are getting it and so is the ESS 8CH OOH << always pronounced it like that...never heard it called SHO(w).

it comes with awd at least. thats one of the reasons they can justify marketing the SHO next to the g8. awd twin turbo sounds pretty fun

BigAls87Z28 08-18-2009 11:25 PM

The car is REALLY nice inside. I got to sit in it at the autoshow, and my goodness the interior was great. Really was above and beyond any Ford, ever.

Impressive numbers for a family sedan from the factory.

caratemymoney 08-19-2009 10:11 PM

isnt it the same setup as the new lincoln mk s or x or z or some other letter

BigAls87Z28 08-19-2009 10:48 PM

Yes, the MKS with Ecoboost is similar to the SHO.
