Getting wax off plastic?

I have the plastic body cladding on my truck and there's a little bit of old wax near the edge of it, and I was wondering if there was any way to get it off.

Mask off the area and use an old toothbrush with lacquer thinner and brush it in. Then use some WET SHINE tire dressing and go over the entire strip. The thinner should dissolve the wax and the tire shine will take away the dullness.

I use tire wet/armor all on the plastic already. Will the lacquer thinner hurt the plastic? Or make splotches?

rubbing alcohol.

I would think it would make it look dull and splochy. Lick your thumb and rub it out with ur spit should work just fine that's what I do when it happens to my car

This stuff has been on there over a year, it was when my brother helped me wax once. And back to black only covers it for a few hours, maybe a day.

try using a wet magic eraser. It usually does that job
