i <3 rockauto + fedex
 

so yesterday i went to order new wiper blades for my car and i went to rockauto because i knew they were very reasonable priced (considering the dealership charged me about $15 each) because for some reason our wiper blades are "Specialty" items. I got them for $8 each and shipped for about $24 (last time i got them at the dealership i paid around $30-35). so long story short... i put the order through and after i checked out i received the confirmation email (i didnt check my email until a couple hours later)and realized that i forgot to put my apartment number on the order form. so in a panic i emailed rockauto support... they got back to me pretty quickly but told me that they had already shipped it and there was nothing they could do about the error and that i can try and contact fedex. i was planning on the package a few days to get here so i planned on calling today to see if fedex could fix it... but they beat me to it.. i got a call from fedex at 730am asking me for my apartment number and said it will be delivered in a few hours... so even with me messing up the address they shipped it to me in less than 24 hours and for cheaper than it would have been at a dealer

thats nice. I love rock auto too, alwasy have what i need for the best price and shipping. although i hate how my order shipps from different location and i get hit with multiple shipping charges.

aye...just got a brand new front CV axle, sway bar endlink kit for both sides, and valve cover gasket set for like $116 shipped

hey guys ive got a 25$ gift card for rockauto i won at a car show. my truck could use front fenders and they are pretty cheap on there, would u trust the body parts from there?

I've gotten a hood and front bumper for my mom's minivan from them and didn't have an issue, but I didn't buy bottom of the barrel either. Rock Auto isn't making any of the parts, just look to see what brand / quality they list and make your choice based on that.

i got all new ac lines for my old 93z from them price was dirt cheap (they said it was one brand and all the stuff came in GM boxes with GM part numbers on them)

i got a remmanned ac compressor from there for my 94z, and saved like 300 over other stores

couldnt you just walk into any regular parts store and get blades cheaper and instantly?

Nope, if you havent noticed if you buy them in the store they don't have the right kind. The driver's side wiper works fine but the passenger's side won't. I have always had to get the specialty ones so that they actually function when i put the wipers on instead of leaving half the window untouched.

ive been using parts store blades for years in every vehicle me and my family has owned, and never had any problem when using anco blades.

i ordered a part for my dads truck when he came home from work last night. i ordered the part around 2am. at 5am i got an email saying the parts been shipped and 11am the fedex truck was here with the part. damn thats quick service we were figuring it would get here around friday but damn less then 12 hours after placing the order. that was awsome.

I am talking specifically on my camaro. They are known as a specialty part.

never had a problem with off the shelf wipers on any of the 3 fourth gens weve had... my TA and my sisters camaro were both recently replaced

Really? I can never get ones that work. I have always had to get the "Specialty" ones.
