ohh what to doooo

well ive got the TA, love it to death, its loud, fast, fun and you dont see em at all around here, however in an effort to retain some value, i try not to drive it around for no reason, hence the 64k miles.
ive got the 3rd gen, havent driven it in a few months, its my baby and ill never sell it, awaiting a 350 to be swapped in, and a quick ratio steering box and its prob guna need a master cylinder, needs the hood painted as well.
now since i got full time at my job ive just been dumping paychecks straight into the bank, saving for a C5, looking at 99-01's since they're in the price range i wanna spend, i dont want some pristine vette that ill feel bad driving so looking in the 50k-70k mile range, so i can drive the piss outa it and not care about keeping the miles down, also id prefer the basic intake/exhaust mods already done so i dont have to be bothered. color... anything but pewter lol.
nowww hopefuly the 3rd gen will get finished up this winter, some how gotta get an inspection sticker! and ill be able to drive that again.... im in no rush to get the vette due to my love for the TA and i wanna find the perfect one.
soo would u sell your TA for a C5?? ive always wanted a vette, and almost have the cash to do so.....

Featherburner 11-04-2009 04:11 PM

Keep the T/A AND buy the vette.

Tru2Chevy 11-04-2009 04:14 PM

If you can swing it, I say hold onto the T/A for now, start shopping for the 'vette, and pick one up while prices are down. Come springtime, prices will be up. You will also be able to sell the T/A for a little more money come springtime.

if i had the money, i'd buy a c5/c6 in a heartbeat. z06 would be preferred, but anything really would do :)

never! and it would take some $$$ to make the 88 worth selling

anyone wanna buy a TA lol...

NJ Torque 11-04-2009 07:01 PM

Sell the T/A. A vette is that much nicer of a car.

Squirrel 11-04-2009 08:12 PM

scrap the 3rd gen... i dont see why this is an issue

mc73nova 11-04-2009 08:33 PM

Both beautiful cars, I would say get the Vette.

Knipps 11-04-2009 08:51 PM

S.J.SLEEPER 11-04-2009 09:01 PM

c5 up for sale here on the board. best be hittin the bank

91chevywt 11-04-2009 11:55 PM

I'd rather have the corvette. Stay away from the jacket wearing clubs though. I've wanted a C5 for a while but don't have the funds for something like that.

LTb1ow 11-04-2009 11:57 PM

Save money for a rainy day.

This makes even more sense.

If you were to sell the T/A you would probably have enough cash to play around with so that you could wait for a good deal and get exactly what you want.

I know its extremely hard to wait around and find the right toy but patience would be the key. Would probably be best to focus on that third gen and get it right before anything
