Aftermarket vehicle warranties...

Does anyone have an experience with these? Can anyone recommend a specific company that's legit?

My buddy's '03 Jetta warranty is about to expire and he wants to get an aftermarket warranty to cover the car up to 100K. I think it's a good idea since the car is a raging POS(as are most VW's).

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

used to get people come in with aftermarket warranty serial numbers when i worked on them. we'd call the company, verify the warranty through them and the limititations and then do the work based on the billing acceptance.

seemed pretty legit. just make sure that he looks into the company well and amke sure they have no BBB complaints

US Fidelis? That's the only commercial I've seen and they're a huge scam.

There was a thing in the recent Motor Trend I think it was, saying they were all scams to certain extents.

I have Penn Warranty on my Cherokee, and they were pretty good - they covered almost everything when I had to have the AC evaporator replaced. That $900 job cost me about $220 outta pocket ($100 deductible plus some little things that they don't cover).

Thanks, I'll look them up.
